The Ethiopian Media Authority is an autonomous public institution accountable to the House of People’s Representatives. It regulates, monitors, and supports the media and advertising sector. Initially established in 1999 as the Ethiopian Broadcasting Agency and restructured into its current form in 2021 under Proclamation No. 1238/2021.
